Oldenburg Linux Developers Meeting 2000October 12th (Thu) - 15th (Sun) 2000University of Oldenburg, Wechloy, Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße
The Linux Developers Meeting (or Linux Hackers Meeting if you like) has a five years tradition. It's Oldenburg's coin in the pocket of Linux development. Last year's meeting was quite successful. This year again it will be organized, from Thursday October 12th, to Sunday, October 15th. Arrival will be from Thursday noon, departure is at Sunday noon to evening. If you can't afford to join on thursday, join the meeting on Saturday. We will organize power, IP, sleeping space, food and dinner. The meeting is organized by Martin Schulze <joey@infodrom.org>. Here is a list of people who have signed up already. Don't get scared, there will be a yearly exhibition and conference, called LinuxTag, on saturday. You're invited to visit it and lurk around, however you're also invited to ignore it and continue hacking. :) The exhibition and conference is held in the same building, but in different halls, though nearby. If you are interested in this developers meeting, please contact Joey (Martin Schulze). We need a rough number of people, monitors and machines to calculate space, power and dinner. Power, IP and sleeping space will be free for all attendees. Again, we hope to be able to provide food for free as well, but that's not sure at the moment. For those of you, who don't know Oldenburg, it's in the northern part of Germany. That means, you'll find lots of green areas (trees, meadows etc.), good air and less industries. The meeting will be held at the science building of the University of Oldenburg, in Oldenburg Wechloy. There are two maps describing the way to the meeting: one and onother. The nearest airport is Bremen. |
